A most stunning Sienna marble chimneypiece in the Rococo Revival style.
A large shell cartouche is flanked by scrolled foliage on raised and fielded panels. The angled cabriole jambs are decorated with acanthus leaves on the front and sides. The substantial shelf is serpentine in shape which reflects the curved lines of the frieze and aperture.
