About the Item

Fountain with two different tops by Piet Knepper for Mobach white glaze with copper oxide details and cracked surface, hand turned studio ceramic . This is an example of Modern School of Dutch design from the mid-century by Piet knepper. In the European ceramic world, they made a name by their sculptural forms and minimal language of design. The ceramist experimented with rough executed earthenware and complex glaze techniques. In the new era of minimalism and hidden elegance of Piet Knepper placed Mobach in the modern world. The fountain was made to enhance and compliment the new style of contemporary living.
