Italian 19th century Baroque st. specimen marble birdbath/fountain
About the Item
A high quality and most decorative Italian 19th century Baroque st. specimen marble birdbath/fountain. This exceptional fountain is raised by a detailed marble support with scrolling and fluted designs while being supported on a mottled rectangular base. Above lays the sensational and large basin carved out of a solid piece of white Carrara marble with fluted designs on the outside. The basin is below a fanciful inlaid back splash with a central protruding reserve. The oval shaped central reserve showcases an inlaid rosette within and a lovely Swan's head spout in the middle. The two sides display large carved Baroque style scrolling foliate carvings.
