About the Item

This stunning large fountain bird bath is sculpted in solid bronze in the classical Greek style. The fountain features a large urn with exquisite decoration on a cylindrical plinth decorated with laurels of roses. It is topped with five doves taking turns drinking water. This high quality hot cast solid bronze was produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method. There is no mistaking the unique design and quality of this gorgeous bronze fountain. It will soon become the focal point of your garden and is sure to receive the maximum amount of attention wherever it is placed. An ancient practice, the process today varies from foundry to foundry, but the steps which are usually used in casting small bronze sculptures in a modern bronze foundry are generally quite standardised.
