A highly decorative and unusual vintage rotating Ferris Wheel, constructed in wrought and pressed metal with ornate scrollwork and twelve lantern compartments.
United States, late 20th century
Labelled: Klaer Lloyd, U.S.A. International
Painted in a dark green enamel with red and gold highlights, the structure features twelve hanging lanterns finished in red gloss with gold-leafed roofs, each fitted with a candle holder. The Ferris Wheel has been motorised to rotate when plugged in, with a visible gear and chain mechanism. Ground stakes are included for secure outdoor or indoor installation.
This dramatic and large-scale sculptural piece was likely created as a display or event feature. It makes a strong visual statement and would suit a garden, conservatory, commercial interior, or theatrical setting.
