More information coming soon… From Lourmarin, France, dating to the 1800s, this marble column capital has hand-carved motifs on two sides, indicating that it was originally a corner architectural. The cream colored marble, which has accents of brown, ochre, and light gray patinas, is adorned with a mascaron on each side that is partially enclosed within sweeping volutes. The base has repeating scalloped leaf cups above a slightly rolled foot, both of which are viewable on all sides.
