French 18th Century Louis XVI Period Pedestal Column
About the Item
A beautiful and most decorative French 18th century Louis XVI period patinated faux painted marble and giltwood pedestal column. The column is raised by a circular base with a finely carved tied reeded giltwood band with elegant berried laurel branches. The central circular support displays a richly detailed swaging berried laurel garland at the front finely tied at each side. Fabulously executed faux marble finish and all original gilt throughout.
