About the Item

An infinitely useful French architectural column, this Neoclassical statement from the 19th century is made of carved wood, thickly painted white to use as a display pedestal for a vase, urn, or ornamental houseplant. The column’s magnificent fluting visually elongates the shaft up to the flat surface without any further decoration, apart from the short base which sits low to the floor.
