A Very Rare and Fine Pair of 19th Century Cast Iron Garden Planters

About the Item

A very rare and fine pair of 19th Century cast iron garden planters of rectangular form and exceptional quality. The everted rim with gorgeous foliate border is raised over flared sides with the panelled and fluted body ornamented with a stunning central cartouche with applied flowerhead paterae flanked with exquisite leaf, ribbon, foliate and scroll motifs, terminating on elegant out-splayed foot with scrolling foliate detail.
