Fragment of a Lion made of Sandstone, 17th Century

About the Item

Sculpture of a lion preserved in fragmentary condition with curved iron tongue and long mane. The iron tail is still present as a remnant. There is an iron ring on the back. The lion was subsequently mounted on a three-pass sandstone base with an iron rod.
