About the Item

Pair of vintage Cast Iron Neoclassical Urns on matching Cast Iron Plinths. We found the Cast iron Urns at a property that was once part of the famous Lake Forest Lasker Estate. Albert Lasker was known as the father of modern advertising — Sunkist Orange Juice, Pepsodent Toothpaste, and Lucky Strike Cigarettes were among the brands he built. The Garden Urns or Indoor Urns have an extensive amount of interior rust that leads us to think that they were probably made in the early 1900's. Structurally they are sound and require no repair. Currently they enjoy a wonderful old black patina and we'd leave them as is. Far as where we think they have been produced, our best guess is France, but it's only a hypothesis.
