Early 20th Century Gilt-Metal and Glass Basket

About the Item

Early 20th Century Gilt-Metal and Glass Basket, of oval form with a pierced handle over a glass lid with preserved flowers, with glass panelled sides interspersed with metal brackets, with velvet and silk interior, with handwritten note to the interior indicating possible links to Mary of Teck (a Christmas gift from her in 1939). The item being well made with fine details suggest that this is very much a possibility.
