About the Item

A truly unusual piece of art is this bowl from ceramic, hand thrown by female German artist Friedl Thoms. The inner decoration and handles remind of Nordic, Scandinavian ethnic patterns. Friedl fled during WWII from Salzburg to the Northern Shore of Germany, where she became a known artist. Hand signed by the artist.
