$419.37

About

A fine Burmantofts Faience Art Nouveau art pottery bowl decorated with fruiting vines and dating from around 1895. The bowl stands on a narrow round foot with a slightly recessed base with a wide rounded body with a narrower fold over rim. The body of the bowl is decorated in a tube lined style with a trailing fruiting vine with bunches of hanging fruit and large single vine leaves painted in tones of turquoise blue on a finely textured cream colored ground. The design is set below a formal border applied around the neck. The bowl has a BF for Burmantofts Faience along with impressed white mark and initials KP. The bowl displays well with glaze rubbing to the some of the raised elements.
