Diane Goddess of the Hunt
An Art Nouveau hammered pewter bowl with beautifully worked out scene in relief, with Diane, the goddess of the hunt. Crafted around 1910 in France.
Typical for Art Nouveau is the asymmetrical design of the bowl, and the well-known 'whiplash' that can be found here along the edge and in the handles. A unique and very decorative piece.
