About the Item

Stunning Mid to Late 20th Century South American Tribal gourd bowls with hand carved floral details, a pair. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Mid-Late 20th Century. Did you get a good gander at these gorgeous gourds??? Actually, they’re vintage South American Tribal gourd bowls to be more specific, and aren’t they FANTASTIC?? We certainly think so!! Gourd art is an ancient tradition in Africa and Asia as well as among indigenous people of America including the highland people of Peru, Navajo, Hopi nations of the American Southwest, and the Nuxalk and Haida nations of British Columbia. Gourd crafting and painting has evolved from early hand carvings to modern day use, by some, of electric wood burners and high-speed pen-shaped rotary tools that can be used to inscribe almost any design. We have two sizes in this set one larger tilted bowl with a “perfectly imperfect” rough cut rim and one smaller tilted bowl also with a “perfectly imperfect” rough cut rim and a pointy lip or handle on one side. The undersurfaces are a natural-colored gourd with purposefully distressed dark brown hand carved floral designs and Tribal details, and they are incredible! And although we have them placed next to a soup can in a few photos, we certainly don’t recommend using them for eating purposes! They are best used as magnificent art & décor among other Tribal pieces or highlighted by themselves on a shelf, accent table, or in a display cabinet. Whatever way you display them, these gourds have got it goin’ ON! Don’t let these phenomenal Tribal gourd bowls pass you by! Make them YOURS!! Island Style Boho Chic Resin Tiki Tribal Large Drum End or Accent Table
By Casa Bique
Located in Topeka, KS
Awesome Island style Boho Chic resin Tiki Tribal large drum end or accent table somewhat in the style of Casa Bique. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. We have touched up a few nicks. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century. Nothing gets you moving quite like the beat of a drum! And though technically, you won’t be dropping a beat with this drum table, it’s sure to get your adrenaline motivated!! Take another look at this gorgeous Tiki Tribal drum end or accent table in the style of Casa Bique Ltd.!!! Although, we think it possibly IS Casa Bique since it came from a home with two other pieces that are labeled as such AND it exudes details indicative of the high style designs produced by Casa Bique Ltd., but either way, it is MAGNIFICENT!! Originally from the Philippines and now it’s here to grace your home with all of its Island and a little Boho chic Style! The whole table is comprised of hand-crafted resin, and it has a removeable top, so you have a secret compartment to stash blankets, linens, books, or whatever!! The base is covered in carved Tikis and tribal designs, wrapped in realistic faux rope design at the base and around the drumhead of the table, and a brown leather-look faux drumhead. It is going to be the perfect Island accent to your boho chic living room, next to a lounge chair in your sitting room, or any room in your beach home, Industrial loft, or Floridian Lanai. This could also go outside on a covered patio or porch. Listen…Do you hear that? It’s the beat of the Island drum...
