Most likely made around the 1960s, these bowls are a beautiful two-toned opalescent blue color. Murano glass dates back to the 6th century AD with the island of Murano becoming a prominent center for glassmaking. The process of creating Murano glass involves melting silica, soda, lime, and other materials at extremely high temperatures. This is followed by careful shaping and cooling to produce the desired form and texture.
