Description:
A sculptural and decorative centrepiece featuring a silvered bronze monkey holding a crackle glass bowl. Continental, mid-to-late 20th century.
The realistically cast monkey figure is seated, grasping a gnarled branch which rises to support a wide, shallow bowl formed of clear crackle-effect glass. The silvered mount features a subtle starburst motif around the rim, adding detail and refinement to the form. Playful yet elegant, the design balances naturalism and modernist whimsy, making it ideal as a centrepiece, fruit bowl, or statement display.
