Handkerchief ''zanfirico'' bowl/vase designed by Fulvio Bianconi for Venini, Murano. This fazzoletto bowl features zanfirico glass with lattimo white netted vertical cane and white ribbons, showcasing a technique dating back to the 16th century in Murano. Venini's utilization of this technique is extensively documented in "Paolo Venini and His Furnace" by Marino Barovier and Carla Sonego. The piece is crafted from colorless glass with blue 'zanfirico' glass rods. and was made in the 1950s, remaining in mint condition. The glass contains a small bubble. Etched signature, Vennini, Murano Fulvio Bianconi, born on August 27, 1915 in Padua and died on May 14, 1996 in Milan, was an Italian painter and glass artist. Bianconi was one of Paolo Venini's foremost glassblowers and worked at the company from 1948.
