Antique Japanese Edo Porcelain Kakiemon Shallow Dish Flowers, 18th/19th Century

About the Item

This amazing Japanese porcelain dish. Painted in underglaze blue as well as with polychrome enamels. This is most probably part of the Kakiemon family. Central a flower basket with prunus tree and birds flying on the top left. The border with rocks, flowers and beautiful hares. The backside decorated with three flower sprays and 3 medaillons. Additional information: Material: Porcelain & Pottery Type: Plates Japanese Style: Kakiemon Region of Origin: Japan Period: 18th century, 19th century Edo Period (1603–1867) Condition: Overall Condition chips/frits to rim and 1 line. The rim was completely overpainted to hide the chips and line, we removed it all to make sure it is in original state. Tiny spots of remaining paint c. Dimension: Ø 21.7 x 3.4 H cm
