Ernst Wahliss Art Nouveau Amphora Blue Figural Aquatic Tray w/ Nude Maiden 1905

About the Item

Offering this gorgeous Ernst Wahliss, Art Nouveau, hand-painted, porcelain figural tray. This tray features a nude maiden smelling an applied flower on a blue painted lily pad aquatic designs with flower design. Tray is made in Turn-Wien (Austria) circa 1905 and is hand-painted, accented in gold and signed, "EW" within a crown and the words Turn-Wien "Depose" "Made in Austria" on the underside. It is also incised with mold numbers and "Made In Austria". Tray is in excellent condition with only tiny chips to the tip of the green flower leaves. Other than that, I can find no other chips, no cracks, no repairs of any kind. An amazing and rare Art Nouveau Wahliss offering. This tray measures 10 inches long by 6.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall.

    Proud to offer this matching PAIR of early 20th Century Austria Imperial Amphora “Lily-of-the-Valley” maiden vases. These vases were designed by Eduard Stellmacher and manufactured by Riessner & Kessel Amphora of Turn-Teplitz, Austria, in a very classic Art Nouveau style.
