About the Item
Large and monumental danish mid-century decorative dish by sculptor and ceramist Arne Ranslet (1931-2018)
He was educated at the Danish Academy of Fine Arts, lived and worked on Bornholm from 1953 to the mid-1990s. Later he lived and worked in Spain.
The rustic and expressive dish or bowl on small feet is made of some kind of chamotte clay and has an abstract decoration in black, blue, white and brown colors.
Mounted at the back with wire for wall hanging.
It's made at his own ceramic workshop in the 1970s.

Small bowl by Danish ceramist Jørgen Mogensen (1927-2017) from his own studio. Made ca 1960s.
The bowl is made from stoneware and has thick walls. It is covered with a gray and pale blue glaze with pale yellow elements and small dark brown speckles. The surface is structured, especially inside the bowl. A very tactile piece.
Marked on bottom "jm" for Jørgen Mogensen.
Excellent used condition.
