Great to use for small Jewellery, Ring dish, Pin Dish, Ashtray or catchall. Vintage collectible advertising collectible porcelain dish ashtray vide poche catchall. Great condition, classic Art Deco Hollywood Regency white and black design. Dimensions: 5.5"L x 3.5"W x 1"H. Circa 1970s. No manufacture hallmark. About Jimmy's: "This luxurious celebrity restaurant was actually located midway between Beverly Hills and Century City, and with that strategic location, it's naturally a major "power lunch" spot. It's not unusual to spot a famous face inside, or a queue of Rolls Royces outside. The Kennedys and the Reagans would seem to have little in common, except for their Irish ancestry. Yet legend has it that the Kennedys once formed a conga line at Jimmy's restaurant and danced past the table of Ronald & Nancy Reagan. That isn't too surprising, since this restaurant was a magnet for political shakers of both parties, as well as the Hollywood crowd." Jimmy Murphy founded Jimmy’s, the Beverly Hills restaurant popular with entertainment talent and execs throughout the 1980s and ’90s. Before owning his own restaurant, Murphy was, for 14 years, maitre ‘d at the Bistro, where customers including Johnny Carson, Bob Newhart and Don Rickles persuaded him to open his own restaurant. Located on Moreno Drive near the Beverly Hills/Century City border, Jimmy’s opened in 1978 and drew regulars including Frank Sinatra, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor and Ronald and Nancy Reagan. Murphy held annual St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and hosted fellow Irishmen including Jim Sheridan, Liam Neeson, Pierce Brosnan and Gabriel Byrne.
