This rare plate is fully marked on the back "BEZALEL JERUSALEM" in Hebrew, the Jerusalem Mark is a bit worn but it is present, on the top of the mark there is the number 522 which is Probably the model number, this plate was mad on the early 1910s or even earlier and it is one of Bezalel earliest works, it is not known who is the artist but the artistic style is typical of Reuben Leaf Lipschitz, he was working in Bezalel in 1912-1916 and was the manager of the etching Department in this time frame, in 1916 he moved to the USA to escape joining the ottoman army in ww1. he stayed in the USA and became a graphic designer who designed and decorated Synagogues he also made graphic designs a illustrations to Hebrew books...

An exceptional, fine and impressive, large pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver entrée dishes made by Walker and Hall; an addition to dining silverware collection. These exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver entree dishes have a rounded oval form. The surface of each cover is encircled with a fine band of bright cut engraved stylised scrolling leaf and undulating line decoration incorporating lozenge and floral shaped motifs. The decoration to each dish incorporates a vacant cartouche to either side. The surface of each base and the interior of the covers are plain and unembellished. The rim of each entree dish base, in addition to the upper surface of the covers are encompassed with an applied stylised Roman leaf border. Both covers retain the original fine and impressive fully hallmarked key fitting detachable shaped scrolling handles ornamented with further applied stylised Roman leaf borders. Wonderful Mid-Century silver-plated serving plate, centerpiece or vide poche, designed by Gio Ponti for Cleto Munari and produced in Italy during the 1980s. Signed on the top by Gio Ponti and bears the Cleto Munari stamp underneath. In fabulous conditions, with no scratches on the upper surface, 4 pieces currently available. Its sleek and efficient design, composed of two subtly offset concentric planes, makes this object not only functional but also a masterclass in geometric elegance, perfectly reflecting the artistic vision of Ponti. This rare piece is ideal to enrich a mid-century modern living room, dining table, or a minimalist bar setup. Dimensions (cm): Diameter – 32 Giovanni “Gio” Ponti, (Milan, November 18, 1891 - Milan, September 16, 1979), is one of the Italian masters of architecture. He was also a designer and essayist and one of the most important of the twentieth century. Other than the great architectural works which carry his unmistakable signature, he created a vast amount of work in the furniture sector. This is demonstrated in his three Milanese houses which were fully furnished in the "Ponti" style. The houses in via Randaccio, 1925, Casa Laporte in via Brin, 1926 and the last in via Dezza, in 1957 is an "expression" of his home design ideas...
