This vibrant pair of antique botanical porcelain plates was made by Coalport in Shropshire, England, circa 1810.
The standout feature is the elegant scrolling leaves rendered in gold against a luminous cobalt blue ground.
This rich combination of color and gilding creates an exceptional visual effect, making the gold decoration appear almost three-dimensional as it catches the light.
Each plate also features raised enamel floral elements in shades of orange, yellow, green, and white, adding bold color and texture.
This rare pattern, collected by celebrated interior designer Mario Buatta from Bardith and exemplifies the dramatic decorative style of the Regency era.
