Set of FOUR Victorian Masons Ashworths Ironstone Supper Dishes, circa 1890

About the Item

These are a good and unusual set of four ironstone supper dishes from the Mason's Factory when it was owned by the Ashworth Brothers. From about 1861 the Mason's Company traded under the name of George L. Ashworth then as George L Ashworth and Bros. Ltd. These matching dishes are hand painted in bold enamels, over a printed pattern called the Paynsley or Fleur De Lys pattern. Both pieces are fully back stamped with the Ashworths (Mason's) mark together with the pattern name. They are also impressed with the number 91133 on two of the dishes. We date these dishes to the Late Victorian period, circa 1890. Free global shipping.
