Georgian Mason's Ironstone Dish or Plate in Bamboo & Basket Pattern, circa 1817

About the Item
This is a very decorative dish or plate by Mason's Ironstone, Lane Delph, England in the Bamboo and Basket pattern, dating to the early 19th century, Georgian period, circa 1813-1820.
The plate or dish is fairly deep and circular in shape with a notched rim.
It is decorated in one of Mason's boldly colored chinoiserie patterns, the Bamboo and Basket pattern, as documented on page 106 of:- A Guide to Mason's Patent Ironstone Patterns, circa 1813-1848, published by The Masons Collectors' club.
The pattern would have been transfer printed then hand painted in bold enamels, with a particularly colorful and distinctive border design.
This plate has one of Mason's very early and rarely seen base marks with "Patent Ironstone China Warranted" printed in cobalt blue. This mark is illustrated on page 125 of the book; Mason's The First Two Hundred Years, by Gaye Blake Roberts, published by Merrell Holberton Publishers Ltd, London. This mark dates the piece to the early 19th century, circa 1813-1820, which is the earliest period of ironstone production, only starting in 1813.
There is also a hand painted 23 by the inner base rim which could be a painters mark.
