A very good looking well made and decorative piece, I have not seen one this good before, the oak has one or two nice large burrs in it, the carving is excellent and the handles remind me of Jas Shoolbred. This can naturally be used for storing anything, its a bit of English Folk Art
The condition is perfect for the period, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom
