Antique Japanese Cloisonné Meiji Enamel Box with Roosters

About the Item

An antique Japanese Meiji era covered enamel over brass trinket or jewelry box. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. The ware is enameled with a polychrome image of a rooster and a hen in blossoming flowers with butterflies on the turquoise ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The bottom is adorned with a foliage motif. Unmarked. Antique and Vintage Asian and Oriental Enamel Cases and Boxes, Table Wares, Home Decor, and Collectibles. Dimensions: D 3 in. All measurements are approximate. Condition Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and Age. Refer to photos.
