Superb craftsmanship and figuring distinguish this fine glove or keepsake case Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout Select stocks present exceptional grain interest Deep caramel hues abound, to the delightful sarcophagus form Vaulted lid adorned with eye-catching gadrooning to the edges Inlaid shield escutcheon to the fascia — untested, key absent Pleasingly lined interior with a quality, later velvet finish Gently raised upon a quartet of squat bun feet This is a fine antique sarcophagus keepsake box, serving also as a quality glove box for the reception hall side table.
