About the Item
This stunning Art Deco decorative box, featuring a crystal bowl inlay, was crafted in France circa 1930. Formerly, the box, along with its serving insert, would be used as a cookie box or candy jar. The modernist design boasts a chromed metal and Macassar wood holder base with carved handles. The crystal-cut insert bowl has large geometric etching and is topped with a tropical wood lid ornate with three beads in Macassar wood and chrome. There is no visible designer's mark.
Measurements: 9.63 in wide (24.5 cm) by 4.32 in deep (11 cm) by 5.13 in high (13 cm).
