Art Deco silver decorative box -Jewelry box - bonbon box Style: Art deco, vintage, antique, Portugees, neoclassical, Mid Century The body of the box depicting a woven basket Its cover is modeled as a bunch flowers and a sphere knob finial On the interior the box is vermeil - golt gilded Origin Portugal Art Deco - Mid Century Height 4.3 inches - 11cm Diameter 3.9 inches - 10cm Silver has a long history. In addition to utensils, they are also ornamental & showpieces, masterfully made. Silverware used to be mainly considered an investment. In times of war or crisis, the silverware was melted down and cashed in again. It was therefore of great importance that the indicated silver content was correct.
