About the Item

This is a truly unique and robust custom-made rectangular safe, possibly crafted by an artist and assembled by a local metalworker in the Netherlands in the 1960s. It features a striking hand-made graphic pattern all around its surface and is incredibly heavy due to its solid metal and aluminum construction. Inside, it's lined with peach coloured silk fabric. A safe is mostly something you don't want to show but this piece is something else. The hand made and craftsmanship in the detailing of the piece is tryly remarkable. It is in very good original condition as well. The door has two large lock pins. You can secure it to the floor or bottom from the inside to prevent it from being moved (or taken) easily. Even the key has an artistic touch and is a little sculpture on its own. This safe looks like a brutalist sculpture but serves a very practical purpose as a secure storage space. The weight, without any valuables inside, is estimated to be around 20 kilograms.
