About the Item
Egg on engraved tripod with octagonal folding photo holder for 6 photos inside, in 925/1000 sterling silver gold plated, with translucent fired enamels on guilloché and pure gold “paillons” in the center of the photo holders. Russian Empire style inspired by Carl Fabergé eggs, late 19th century, early 20th century. Egg dimensions: diameter cm. 8, height cm. 11.8; photo holder cm. 5 x 6.3 x 2.8 (when closed). Triangular base tripod cm. 10.5 x 10.5, height cm. 9.5; total height of the set cm. 17.5. Weight gr. 810. Designed in 1963 by Franco Salimbeni with inspiration from previous products of the Salimbeni company and always manufactured at the Salimbeni company headquarters with completely manual execution by artisan artists with a high thickness plate and large reinforcements suitable for supporting numerous enamelling firings at high temperature at approximately 750° < 800° C.
It is a new object that has never been used but is considered vintage because it was built more than 20 years ago.
