English 19th Century Small on Box on Stand With Inlaid Mother-Of-Pearl. This is an antique English walnut dressing or vanity box, dating to the 19th century. The box features a beautifully grained walnut exterior with inlaid mother-of-pearl and decorative wood marquetry around the escutcheon and on the top surface. The interior is lined with vibrant pink fabric on the bottom and marbleized pink paper on the inside top. The stand is crafted from a matching dark wood, featuring elegant arched supports connecting the legs. Together, the box and stand create a charming and functional piece of antique furniture. Condition: The box shows wear consistent with age and use, including some surface scratches and minor imperfections in the wood. The fabric lining and interior paper are in good condition.
