About the Item

Each piece is modeled and cast by hand using a traditional Moroccan sand casting method. Signed. Raised in England and educated at one of the finest art schools in the world, London’s prestigious Royal College of Art, Jaimal Odedra is an internationally recognized designer whose projects span from Europe to India, Africa and the United States. Odedra has quickly become highly esteemed in his field, having worked for some of the world’s leading fashion houses, as well as having been the recipient of a variety of awards, including a Fulbright Scholarship for design. The roster of design houses Jaimal has designed for includes Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, and Givenchy. He has also consulted for many European luxury brands including Rick Owens in Paris, for whom he created accessories and objects for the home using leather, bronze, sterling silver, bone, horn, terracotta, aluminum, and wood. Odedra is a multi-talented designer whose portfolio also includes the entire visual direction and costume design for four major Bollywood productions and the complete branding from concept to production for a Berlin-based leather accessories start-up line called Horizn-Studios. Most recently, Odedra has created a collection of desktop accessories for the boutique of the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakech. The current medium Odedra is exploring is bronze. He uses traditional sand-casting methods. Working within a small artisanal studio in Morocco, Jaimal crafts beautiful organic, freeform shapes to create centerpieces, place settings, and objects for the home. Jaimal Odedra is based in New York City and also has residences in London, Paris, and Morocco. His work takes him around the world: consulting, styling, and creating and photographing beautiful objects and people.
