Mid-19th century Chinese Export papier mache round tea canister box. Qing dynasty. Scarlet ground with a surround of exquisitely hand gilded & painted tea scenes. Some scuffs & inner rim chip on lid; fading, wear & craquelure commensurate with age, material & use. 4 3/8" h., 3.5" dia.
