About the Item

A very fine quality English mahogany letter box made and signed by F. Waller and so labeled. This finely crafted letter box has 2 drawers one on each side fitted with campaign style inset brass hardware. The brass locks is stamped VR Patent. The craftsmanship of this piece is illustrated by the exceptionally fine joinery of the small drawers as well as the choice of timber. Circa 1840.
