Elegant Miniature Vanity in Mahogany – Paris, Mid-19th Century An exquisite late Empire miniature piece, crafted in central Paris around 1850. Made of fine mahogany (Swietenia mahogoni), the piece features three drawers and a hinged top with a built-in mirror. Its refined proportions and craftsmanship make it a rare and elegant jewelry box – both functional and decorative. The interior is veneered in light bird’s eye maple and features a beautifully marbled glass surface – ideal for storing jewelry or other cherished items. The aged mirror adds character and enhances the antique charm. An original label from the renowned Parisian toy and gift boutique “Aux Amis de l’Enfance, 256 Rue St. Honoré, Paris” remains intact, adding provenance and historical interest.
