About the Item

Contemporary chest and stand for storing cigars, displaying jewelry or other small collectors items. The chest is made of curly koa with pheasant wood (senna siamea) trim and legs. The inside of the chest is lined with fragrant Port Orford cedar. The top portion of the chest opens to reveal a large wide space with an inset sliding drawer. Below, is a drawer which slides forward to open, and on the left and right ends, there are slim table leaves which pull out to extend the viewing / usable surface. The pedestal feet and chest are constructed separately so that the chest may be used independently for use in traveling or alternative display. About the Artist, Joel Bright Joel Bright has had a long history of working with and designing wood pieces. Like many of the great artists of our time, Joel's talent springs from his passion for the medium. His unparalleled craftsmanship and expertise in design are coordinated to show off the beauty of the wood itself. His works have received many awards in various woodworking shows, most notably Firsts in the state-wide Hawaii Woodshow.
