This large vintage silver leaf and black Murano glass sommerso box, made in Italy by Alessandro Mandruzzato, circa 1970’s. This large domed glass decorative box is captivating and impressive. The internal submerged glass (Sommerso) is loaded with silver leaf both on the bottom and the lid. This box is pure vintage elegance and sophistication.
The weight and impressive craftsmanship that went into the creation of this Italian art glass box is of a stellar quality and the piece has a strong presence when displayed on its own or with other Murano pieces. We love this filled with a treasure, or left empty simply for display.
This "Sommerso" jewelry casket jewelry box is cased in heavy clear glass with brass fittings.
