About the Item

A spectacular and monumental scaled pair of French mid 19th century Louis Philippe six arm candelabras in ormolu and patinated vertigris bronze. The pair are raised by an impressive square base above four scrolled acanthus leaf supports. The reeded base below the urn is adorned by a Palmette design and a grand and richly chased floral swaging garland with fruits. On each side are five scrolled arms with large spanning acanthus leaves. The exuberant six wild flower branches above have blossoming flowers throughout. Exceptional quality and all original gilt.
