About the Item

Pair of Large Embossed Brass Wall Chargers, Late Victorian, circa 1890–1910 A handsome near pair of large antique brass chargers, English or continental European, dating to the late 19th to early 20th century. Each charger is finely worked in repoussé with a bold central floral rosette and stylised decorative motifs, enclosed within a lightly scalloped edge. Of generous proportions at 36 cm (14 1/8 inches) in diameter, they make a striking decorative statement. The surfaces retain a soft, aged patina with signs of handling and oxidation that lend authenticity and warmth. Both pieces are fitted with a hanging ring to the reverse, allowing for easy wall display in a traditional or eclectic interior. While not identical, they are well matched in style and scale, and work beautifully as a complementary pair. Dimensions: Diameter: 36 cm (14.2 in) Depth: Approx. 2 cm (0.8 in) Condition: Good antique condition with light marks, patination, and small surface irregularities consistent with age and use. One charger slightly darker than the other. Style: Late Victorian / Arts & Crafts influence Origin: England or Continental Europe Date: c.1890–1910
