19th Century English Adams Style Giltwood Girandole Wall Sconce with Two Candle Holders. Sconce is richly decorated with refined classical motifs including ribbons, lures, and acanthus leaves, characteristic of the Adams style. The sconce is crowned with a carved ribbon and central medallion bearing a lion mask, symbolic of strength and protection. Flowing swags of beaded garlands drape gracefully along the sided, connecting to scrolled lyre-shaped elements at the center. Below, acanthus leaves and floral carvings accentuate the base, while two scrolling candle arms extend outward, each terminating in a carved candle cup. the sconce will add both light and opulence to any interior.
