About the Item

Impressive pair of Italian Baroque Painted and Parcel Gilt Applique Candle Sconces. Each sconce of rectangular cartouche shape, enriched with carved foliate scrolling volutes centering oval reserves issuing a fully realized sleeved and cuffed arm, extending to a hand grasping a cylindrical tole candlestick with flaring rippled drip pan and rising to cylindrical nozzle. These rare, antique pieces make such a refined and luxurious statement. Sold only as a set.
