Pair of Italian Midcentury Giltwood Candle Sconces with Carved Feathers

About the Item

A pair of Italian giltwood candle sconces from the mid 20th century, with two arms, carved feathers and acanthus leaves. Created in Italy during the Midcentury period, each of this pair of candle sconces captures our attention with its delicate design showcasing a fan-shaped arrangement of scrolling feathers supporting the two scrolling arms. These arms are adorned with acanthus leaves and support the floral bobèches made to receive the candles. Boasting a nicely weathered patina, this pair of Italian giltwood two-arm candle sconces from the mid 20th century will make for a lovely addition to any home, perhaps hung above a pair of demi-lune tables, a commode or a console.
