Pair 17th Century Large Italian Baroque Gilded Carved Candlesticks Torchieres
Magnificent carved and gilded floor Torchieres, early Baroque from Tuscany, Northern Italy. Each is exquisitely carved with typical Baroque motifs and ornamentations. A later large tripod base is added to provide additional support. The torchieres are covered with partly distressed gold and silver leafing. The show side is gilded, and two sides are silver leafed.
The candlesticks are in good/fair antique condition with signs of wear and early restorations.

H 42” x W 10” (without base)
