Antique Candle Holder in Cast Spelter with Putto Late 19th Century

Antique Cast Spelter Candle Holder with Putto, Europe, late 19th century. This ornate candle holder features a finely cast putto figure seated at the base, supporting an elegantly tapered stem that rises to hold a single candle. Crafted from spelter (a zinc alloy often used as a more affordable substitute for bronze) with a rich, aged patina, the piece showcases intricate Rococo-style detailing, including scrollwork, floral elements, and a tiered pedestal base. Likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, it offers a charming blend of classical influence and romantic decorative appeal—perfect as a statement piece or addition to a vintage interior.
