About the Item
Early Victorian English Brass Candlesticks, circa 1840
A fine pair of 19th century English brass candlesticks, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1840.
Each of octagonal base with turned stems and well-balanced proportions. The candlesticks display evidence of hand craftsmanship, including tool marks and period solder joints. The brass has acquired a soft, timeworn patina, enhancing their character. Undersides show oxidation and hand-finishing typical of mid-19th century work.
An authentic and decorative pair, ideal for traditional or eclectic interiors.
