Group Of Four Italian Putti Della Robbia Style Candlesticks
About the Item
Group of four Italian pottery candlesticks with four putti with musical instruments. The putti are standing in front of a seashell form column and surmounted by a della robbia style urn. The putti are standing on a hand painted plinth base, each incised made in Italy and signed by artist. Two of the putti are playing drums, one with violin and the fourth with a horn.
Dimensions: 3 1/4" W x 7 1/4" H
Condition:
Putti with horn - chip under green leaf, firing fissures
Putti with drum - losses to drum sticks, chip to flower, wax residue
Putti with drum - losses to drum sticks,
Putti with violin - loss to bow, chips to two green leaves, wax residue
